Matthew Borg is a Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic surgeon with a special interest in breast surgery, body contouring surgery and skin cancer. He is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a fellow of the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic surgeons. He works as a plastic surgeon at the Plastic Surgery and Burns Unit in Mater Dei hospital. He has been working at Persona since 2013.
He graduated from the University of Malta medical school and immediately started working in the world renowned Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, England. He pursued further medical and surgical training both in the UK and in Malta. He also attended an observership at the prestigious Mayo Clinic, USA. He completed his specialisation in Plastic Surgery in the UK. Following this, he undertook a specialised aesthetic fellowship with a renowned plastic surgeon and former president of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, focusing on procedures such as breast augmentation, breast lifts (mastopexy), breast reduction, male breast surgery (gynaecomastia), tummy tucks (abdominoplasty), thigh lifts, arm lifts, facial surgery and liposuction.
